PostSubject: Skyrim in 3440x1440   Mon Aug 15, 2016 8:42 pm

Hi RottenDub, hi everyone,

I am using a monitor with a resolution of 3440x1440 and I cannot find a way to make Skyrim work at that resolution while using Skyrim Perfectly Moded V4.3.
It worked before SPM using "Flawless Widescreen" but with the use of SPM Flawless Widescreen makes the game crash (probably because other process are used to access the same memory part, I'm not an expert).

I carefully read the thread : |Guide to 1440p and beyond resolutions for Skyrim|

And I cannot find what RottenDub is talking about...

I changed the resolution using MO -> Config -> custom rez to 3440x1440.
But I cannot find any effect.txt nor effect.txt.ini...
I searched all the files on my PC but none contains the following :

•Open effect.txt find and change these lines to desired resolutions : wrote:
// Set your resolution here
float XCoord <
string UIName="Horizontal Pixel Resolution";
string UIWidget="Spinner";
float UIMin=0.0;
float UIMax=7680.0;
> = {1920};

float YCoord <
string UIName="Vertical Pixel Resolution";
string UIWidget="Spinner";
float UIMin=0.0;
float UIMax=4320.0;
> = {1080};

There must be a way to adjust the UI size without using the memory hack used by Flawless Widescreen but I didn't find any solution so far.

Can anyone enlighten me ?

Many thanks for your help and cheers RottenDub for your AMAZING work !!!

Cheers,

Hey man welcome to the forums.
You will find both of the aforementioned files in X:\Skyrim\enbseries

Cheers Rotten,

I feel like an idiot. No idea why windows 10 is not able to find a simple file while launching a search with the correct filename. It probably doesn't care to look in the children directories by default. Didn't think of that. Cheers anyway =)

I'll try to play with those file when I have the time and post you some nice pictures ;)

Keep up the good work !!!

Many Thanks,

Wel,

I tried to play with the files but didn't manage to solve my problem.
The SkyUI interface seems to be bigger than the 1440 pixel height of my screen :

Does somebody have any idea how to correct this ?

Many thanks for your help.

Nobody ever tried this ?

When I was using Flawless Widescreen, the software was showing this :

With the "command" (HUDScaling) HUDLeft=0, HUDTop=0, HUDWidth:3440, HUDHeight=1400. This is what I need but no idea how to correct this using the pack of mods of RottenDub.

Cheers for your help.

Regards,

Hi Rotten,

No this wasn't resolved so far. I tried everything I could think of and I'm still missing the top and bottom part of the UI.

Didn't find anything relevant on the link you provided.

Any other idea ?

Is there anybody around running the package in 3440*1440 and not having this problem ?

Cheers,

Hi rotten,
I Tried everything I could. The only solution I found was with "Flawless Widescreen" which doesn't work with your patching...
I'm a bit surprised I am the only one that ever tried this.
So far no solution T_T

When using SkyUI and 21:9 (f ex 3440x1440) both top and bottom of inventory are severely cropped ("doesn't fit"). Same problem in windowed mode, but still works without SkyUI or with another resolution.
Is there a fix or similar mod out there?

From googling, it looks like you may be able to manually adjust this in SkyUI's settings. Look for a file called skyui.cfg in your Data folder, and try changing the values for itemicon.xOffset and itemicon.yOffset and see if that makes a difference. There may be other variables in that file that could be useful, I'm not certain. (Be sure to back up a copy of this file before you start modifying its contents!)
Also, you may want to look into a program called Flawless Widescreen. I've never used it, but it supports Skyrim and I believe it should help you out. You should do a bit of research/background reading before you install it though....

Flawless Widescreen seems to have fixed it!

•Change to desired resolution (in skyrim prefs)
Quote :
iSize H=1080
iSize W=1920
•Open effect.txt find and change these lines to desired resolutions :

Quote :// Set your resolution here
float XCoord <
string UIName="Horizontal Pixel Resolution";
string UIWidget="Spinner";
float UIMin=0.0;
float UIMax=7680.0;
> = {1920};

float YCoord <
string UIName="Vertical Pixel Resolution";
string UIWidget="Spinner";
float UIMin=0.0;
float UIMax=4320.0;
> = {1080};
•Open effect.txt.ini and find and change these lines to desired resolutions :
Quote :
Horizontal Pixel Resolution=1920.0
Vertical Pixel Resolution=1080.0
*Optional set 16 AF for TESV.exe in NVIDIA CP it's better sometimes then ENB.

And 2 mods that might help last one can move UI elements around.Hope this help.
