PostSubject: [solved]Map flicker.   Mon Mar 20, 2017 1:01 am

So for about two weeks map started flickering like a crazy bitch. If anyone has a fix or knows a way to fix it up let me know if you are willing to lend a hand.It will be fixed at some point but some help would be appreciated.

•Tried 3 older Nvidia drivers and they didn't help. (but yeah this problem started when i installed the latest and greatest Nvidia driver and yeah i installed each driver with a "clean install")
•Map textures replacers didn't help ( but only tried 2 of them)
•Any suggestions are welcome.

Try the following:

1. Download your GPU company drivers, not common NVIDIA ones:

2. Open enblocal.ini and then set EnableVSync=true in "[ENGINE]", Turning WaitBusyRenderer=true helps to reduce the flickering if you don't want to set EnableVSync on true.

3. Try another ENB, with less shadows, or try to reduce shadow quality in a current one.

I have the same problem, loading screens and the map flickers like crazy.

Turned on WaitBusyRenderer in ENB which causes a loss of 8-10 fps. Nothing else has any impact on it whatsoever. I tried like 100 different things the last 5 hours messing with nvidia drivers, settings, enb settings like vsync, ambiant occlusion resolution scale, enhancing game AA with nvidia AA 4x (this has been known to help with flickering trees and foliage in Fallout 4. etc, i mean im not gonna list everything i tried..  This does not occur with Skyrim vanilla and any enb I've ever tried.

edit: to be clear, WaitBusyRenderer does resolve the problem entirely, but then causes another far worse (the huge fps loss).

Ok the problem is coming from the newer nvidia drivers.

I rolled back further than my last test, to December 2016

376.33-desktop-win8-win7-64bit-international-whql

and the problem is entirely resolved.

Btw you would get better result using the RealVision enb you included which uses SMAA and you turn on NVIDIA MFAA (MFAA enhances SMAA). I tried the Snowfall ENB which was interesting but very grey and washed out in comparison.

Also get rid of all vsync and just turn on triple buffering you will gain some performance and zero tearing.

Just a heads up the flicker is gone with the latest driver from Nvidia (381.65)
