PostSubject: Fresh new install, should I update some mods ?   Wed Jul 26, 2017 7:39 pm

Alright guys, after something like 2 months, my SPM began to crash more and more often, so I decided to make a new fresh install of everything, but I still have some questions.
I don't know when the 4.4 pack was released, and I was wondering if I should download some mods again and reinstall them ? I was thinking about better vampires, and sacrosanct, but also better vampires weapons and npcs, which are, if i'm right, new ?
As some of them already are in the pack, I was wondering if reinstalling them and selecting "replace" would work, or if I should let them as they are ?
And something else, I also added some followers and houses stuff mods, such as female mannequin etc in my last playthough, is it ok to do so ?
Could someone tell me, from experience or knowledge, which "category" of mod are "safe" to install, and which one are not ?
I know I have many questions, but I would really like this install to be completely perfect, as your pack :D and I will take the time it needs for it.

Thanks for any help :)

Please forgive me if english is bad, im french and it's not my native tongue :)

Updating mods is usually safe with the "replace" method (be sure to use same name) as Mod Organizer will place the esp in the correct load order.

SAFE : Textures/armor/weapon/replacer mods are usually safe to install.
UNSAFE : mods that have scripts and/or can conflict with things already in the pack.

Hey RottenDub, first, thanks for the reply, kind of understand why my previous install got so mush CTD, but still got one question.
There are several quest mods I would love to try, but, I may be completely wrong as I don't know very much about scripts, aren't they full of scripts and stuff ?
The mods I am talking about :
_ Gray Cowl of Nocturnal ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64651/? ),
_ Molag Bal's Inferno ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69811/? ),
(_ eventually Dark Brotherhood Resurrection part 1 ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25941/? ). )
Guess I'll have to remove Sacrosanct too, as it has many scripts in it (well, I guess), or can I still play with the patch provided by Better Vampires ?
Another I really love for assassin character is Sneak Tools ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19447/? ), and same question as before, is it safe ?

I have a lot of questions and I know you probably don't have the time to help everyone, so thanks for any reply and thanks RottenDub for the pack, and the next 5.0 one, I'm sure you'll make something really great, which will definitely destroy our PC  Big smile
