Say I changed the name of the Skyrim Folder would that f anything up?

So it would look something like this C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim - Perfectly Modded

(I'm going to partition my HDD like in this thread http://perfectlymodded.forumgratuit.ro/t583-alternative-steam-install-method)

Y'see I've done this with Enderal as done in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rerv5kVaTeU) and that worked perfectly and Enderal works like a dream.

I would change the ini files in the Modorganiser.ini to reflect the changed Folder Name.

The reason I want to do it this way is so my Vanilla Skyrim can have "Ultimate Skyrim"

I'd basically have 3 different installations of Skyrim installed XD

I'm willing to test this out either way just thought I'd get some advice before doing so.

Thanks for your advice/help!

It should work if you carefully and correctly ( i suggest X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SkyrimSPM )modify path's in the ini's but there's room for error and there are more files (not just ModOrganizer.ini) that use that path. This is if you want the steam overlay.

My suggested and recommended path remains X:\Skyrim because you don't have to fiddle with the ini's.

I'll be the guinea pig and test it to see if it works.

Any chance you could give me a list of the files that require file paths changing? It's ok if you can't :)

No, it would not. I'm not sure if the pathname is too long though, that's a really long location and a lot of files are pretty far into the skyrim directory, might exceed the character limit for paths.

I did this too though, got 4 skyrim installations of different kinds in X://SPM, X://Sreenarchery, X://Journey and X://Vanilla. (i keep a vanilla install for easy re-installation)
Works like a charm for me.
