REGARDING VIVID WEATHERS AND THE GRAPHICAL GLITCHES
It is specified on the sticky post of the mod that "iTexMipMapSkip" must be set to 0 :
"BLUE SQUARES - DISSORTED TEXTURES: This happens when you do not have skyrims textures set to atleast high and iTexMipMapSkip in the skyrimprefs.ini is not set to 0. Install Lowres textures or set your texture quality higher!"
Changing the texture quality in MO from "very high" to "high" for example modifies that. That's why some people have issues and others don't. So you just have to set "iTexMipMapSkip=0" and you're good to go !
Thank you Rotten for what it seems an amazing pack ! I will try it intensively tonight (first time I try your work). I just got out of the first cave from Helgen yesterday night ans stopped playing once I was outside : the magnificence of the look from your ENB blew me away (the dusk sun rays are astonishing).

Hello and thank you for the info.It was so simple :) I'll be sure to create a "Bugs and Fixes" thread and inform more people, not that's really a bug, more of a reminder for people who change their texture quality.

The ENB it's not mine, it's one of Grimdark excelent ENB's that I've been heavily tweaking for a year.

Quote :
I've been modifying and upgrading this ENB (it's NOT created by me)for a lot of time.
Mostly tweaking it to strike a balance between performance and visual fidelity.

I've also spent quite a big number of days tweaking sunrays, godrays and everything it has to do with sun.
Then came along Vivid Weathers and and it kinda blew it a little bit but still retained the rays that I've set in a decent way.
ENB in the initial form it was very low on everything rays, i tried to simulate (to the best of my ability) the way the sun strikes objects to a degree and how would the sun affect the player when looking at it but not without hurting your eyes when you look at the screen and it was harder to achieve then i though.

I think i've tried at least 50 ENB's in the course the course of 4 or 5 years and none of them compared to the work that wolfgrimdark achieved with his presets.

The perk points per level from Elys Uncapper and MorePP dont seem to work correctly.

I think i'm getting 2 points at lvl 2, 1 at lvl 3, 2 at lvl 4, 1 at 5 and so on. I chose 2 perk points per level at the start. This could be the correct behaviour. IF you want 2x perk points. But i dont want this anymore because SPERG skills are so strong, i just want one point every two levels like in Elys Uncapper (2=1 3=0.5 ...).

So i halved the values in Elys Uncapper in order to mitigate the double points from MorePP. Doesn't do anything.
Then i disabled the Player Survival Help merged mod, made a clean save, re-enabled it. I was then able to choose one perk point per level. However now i got 2 points per level and sometimes even 3!

I dont think MorePP works correctly. People in the comments have been complaining about this as well. Someone mentioned version 1.2 would not have this bug where you cant disable the 2x perk points.

So maybe someone knows a permanent solution? If not i'll have to manually give myself the correct amount of perk points in the SPERG MCM menu every time i level up.

Also i'd like to know if Rotten recommends the 2x skill points choice because i haven't played that much with SPERG.

Hi Rotten :)
Thank you for the tremendous work you're doing - there are no words!
The pack runs very smoothly and amazingly, even considering that I added a  few mods.
I did get a glitch with unmatching colour of face and body in some nps, but I guess Face Gen will cure that.

The questions is this - in the list of mods on the website it says ETAC, by MO says that there is no ETAC. Correct? I really like that mod and  I'm afraid to mess everyhting up if I install in and I shouldn't.

Hello!Welcome!

The only NPC's that have a slight color mismatch are the few followers added by ANNA's NPC (followers) about 6 of them.

You should find ETAC and others that modify settlements and towns in MO easily

Left pane : 134, 135, 136(approx)

Right pane : 103, 104, 105(approx)

Huh. Well, I must be using my superpower (that is to make Skyrim very very glitchy) Because Sorex Vinius, Corpulus Vinius, a commoner woman whose name I don't remember, Faendal - all are grey-faced:(
And I can't see ETAC for the life of me. Is it possible that not all the files copied into my folder or that I downloaded it wrong? :)

I made a screenshot of my MO, but the forum says I'm too new a member topost links and pics :)

Just installed the pack - I squeeked so loud when it was done, that my cat got startled and looked at me rather apalled.
So, a question right away - if I don't want to use Frostfall - should I just not turn it on in-game?

I caught a very strange glitch - I at least hope it's just a glitch. I went into Riften, and spent the night and in the morning there was an Asassin at the marketplace. Cool :) He killed Ingun, so I naturally had to reload. I got him this time, read the contact and was intrigued. In a minute there was another asassin, decapitating nobles and citizens. I killed him, got another contract. Then... Mjoll started arguing with Brand-Shei and they started to fight. Fist, then weapons. She killed him, I was distressed, but he turned out to be phoenix, because he got up from his pool of blood, (he was absolutely dead, not just resting) ran up to hear and she oneshotted him with her big maul. That happened a few more times before I gave up and came here.

What the hell is happening in Riften? :)

P.S. I lurked around and found out that this fight thing is actually Vanilla O_o If you drop something on the ground (I dropped one of the contacts, but I picked it up right away) NPC's start fighting over it!

Well spriggans are protectors of nature and wildlife so killing them might anger the animals, but then again you could've accidentally hit one of them ☺

Here's a paranoid duck that will make you forget about it :)

Aw, what a cute duck! He's looking right into my soul.

I know, I never actually want to kill them spriggans - but they're so protective of everything:( I remember having a mod that made the @Chill the hell down@ shout work on spriggans, but I'm not sure I can add any more mods (Even though I need only two more:D)

Ok, so new questions. I read all the reads on the pack, but I still feel like I could've found the answer - you can totally kick my butt if it is so.
1. Was the Dark Brotherhood questline altered in any kind? I like the Brotherhood, but I also like the NPS I 'd need to kill in the quest-line, so I never do DB anymore.
2. Will the DB quest trigger itself automaticaly from rumors or innkeeper banter? I know that random rumors don't start quests, but I'm still wary (books do start quests still, blasted Red Eagle)
3. Will I break everything if I install the mod that alters inn prices for rooms and? I can live without it, but still curious.

The local wildlife around the downloadable preconfigged save location doesn't fear me, ducks and chickens and rabbits around here mostly pretend I don't exist, not even fleeing while I'm slowly killing them with the dagger, they make hurty noises but just keep foresting there.  I figured it might just be that there are loads of added animals and so a few of them are going to be weird, but has anyone else experienced this with Rotten's pack, in this area or somewhere else?
Edit: On closer observation it's really just the chickens.  Chickens are silly.

SkyTEST just updated, version 1.44.  The pack's version seems to be 1.38, but the mod maker might not keep the readme up to date.  Thankfully it's an isolated mod in your install!  I think I can just update this without needing to change another thing.  Is that right?

Hey Dub :) as much as I love the water in the pack, I wanted to change it's colour to a blue-green one (it's on nexus), and it doesn't change in game - something must be over-writing it. I disabled the ENB water textures in MO, and no effect. Could you advise me on this? :)

Well just get Watercolor for ENB and Realistic Water Two by paganmetalfan and place it last after everything else.Get the RND version if using RND.
Remember to do so in right pane also.Leave the water textures enabled.

I'm so glad I was able to find such a complete mod pack with this level of detail and beauty. I just had a question before installing everything.

Are you using the CBBE body? If so I wanted to know if I could just as easily install the UUNP body without too much messing around or would it conflict with other mods?

Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forums!

Body is a slight custom CBBE HDT with some optional high quality textures in the [Optionals] zone.
Skeleton is also HDT with HDT heels systems.
Most armors and meshes are also CBBE and CBBE HDT so you might have a problem switching body's.

PostSubject: Re: Ask a question about the pack   Tue Jun 21, 2016 11:57 am

Thank you for the wonderful compilation, i played 10 hours with very good stability and performance, never managed to get an heavily modded skyrim so stable.

Some questions:
-I want to get rid of vampire attacks in towns, most npc are protected, but some like the servants and laboures do get killed. Do they respawn, and anyway is a mod like this safe to add mid game? No Random Vampire Attacks for Dawnguard v2.0
This mod seems interesting also because you get an amulet to stop dragon attacks at will, so i don't lose npc when i'm near open towns like falkreath and riverwood.

-I get 1.5 perk points per level (1 perk point for one level and then 2 perk points the next level-up) is it working as intended?

-Is there any way to disable Warzones without removing the plugin? It's a fun mod but sometimes i just want to make a nice walk, hunting, picking flowers and stuff without having to walk into a warzone. Additional spawns and random encounters can be disabled and enabled again with mcm but not warzones.
Also i don't want to mess with your stuff like rebuilding merged and asis patches now that i got a stable savegame going.

-Carry weight is really high and seems to get higher the more i level up. Now it's 925. Is it working as intended?

And now some feedback, hope it will be useful.
-Follower dog costant barking is annoying after a while. Vanilla issue as well.

-Followers commentary can get annoying since they repeat over and over the same lines at inappropriate times.

-Sometimes i get texture flickering. Like on some doors (so far winking skeever in solitude and some doors in the blue palace). And rarely roofs.

-Some followers don't work with the EFF framework, i get no menu and group selection with people like dorian and the 3dnpc followers. They also seems too weak.

- Npcs seems to have troubles with some of the new interiors. At whiterun inn i got one npc stuck inside the bar counter, and others unable to go upstars.

Anyway little and easily fixable stuff and much better then the bugs i get with my homemade modded skyrim xD.

Hello!

1.Check MCM for Immersive Creatures and disable some of the night spawns there.(or anything else you want it's pretty flexible)
2.Perk points are correct,i always play the game on expert or above (immersive spawns also) and i find the game challenging and difficulty recommended is the same for everyone to play the pack as intended.
3.Don't know how much scripts it runs and if it's safe to disable mid-game but you can check MCM menu and reduce spawns.
4.Ores weight 12x sometimes than vanilla making crafting impractical and you'll usually find a lot more items than in the vanilla game, if carry-weight wasn't modified it would turn into a hording and inventory management simulation.
5.Make the dog stay put? :-w
6.Open MCM go to FCO(follow commentary overhaul)
7.Never saw texture flicker on doors and roofs some lights tend to bug out on rare occasions.
8.Yeah some followers are hardcoded by authors that way.Gear them up and train them?
9.Yeah radioactive interiors have some navmesh problems.

Cheers!

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60520/? Sneaky Canines fixes that.  Sharing this mod specifically because there are a few others that do a worse job of the same thing, like leaving in a silent bark animation or something.

Thanks for the answers Rottendub and tenka!

I also wanted to let you know that today i tried to install your mod on my C: drive, because it's my only ssd drive.
I tried the 2 methods that the other guys posted, but i got crashes almost immediately and started using my X: drive again.

After installing the 4.2 update i got wierd ctd when saving the game.
Loading a previous savegame solves the issue, but it happened another time after one hour of gameplay and had to load an earlier save again.

I don't have autosave manger and i only use manual saves and quicksaves.

Could be load order, haven't noticed any CTD in a very long time, none with 4.2
Check install for 4.2 again and only save manually.

I installed 4.2 according to theinstructions but had CTD also and a blue screen after approaching Riverwood.  Looking forward to an updated pack like V4.3 soon.

I have the same issue. I think it is because I deactivated/activated "Common Robes" mid-game. Not sure.

I did find a workaround that is no trouble at all : when you load your save, don't play just yet. Open the console and do a "player.kill". Load the same save again and now you can save normally. It's fast and easy, I don't mind doing this ! Also I use manual save in a new slot each time.

Yeah that fix works, but after a while my savegame got broken again and i also got random freezes and ctds.
I reinstalled everything from scratch without additional mods and started a new game, 5 hours in and no problems so far.

Just a quick question : why did you leave the timescale at "20" ? Is from a safe perspective regarding some mods ? I will test a "12" value because I don't like the vanilla one.

Matfo, you can change anything you like, we can do the same - diversity.

When I was trying to decide between this and another compilation I was going through and comparing what mods were in each.

The fact that this has the Warzones mod won me over. Though I am also a real big fan of a few combat overhaul mods, mainly with how they handle blocking and stamina usage. Things liked how well you time your block determines how much damage reduction and stamina is used, spamming swings leads to massive stamina hits, etc.

I tried to look through the forums for mod lists and other mentions of combat, blocking, etc but was not able to get too much information beyond the use of 'Revenge of the Enemies' mod and '+Rottens Lively Combat' which I assume is a customised merger of combat mods/tweaks.

My question would be, can I get more information on what sort of combat features/modifications are in your 'lively combat' mod and this compilation overall?
(and if there is nothing effecting blocking and combat timing, are there any known compatible combat mods?)

Of course but Rotten knows the mechanics far better than me so if I break a balance of some sort by changing the timescale I want to know first. I think I will try a "12" value and change the respawn times accordingly using wyre bash.

EDIT : for example it seems that changing the timescale breaks "lanterns of skyrim" and the only way to solve it is start a new game.

Check perk tree and see the block,Also check SPERG from the MCM menu.
ASIS gives new perk points ans skills to enemies,it works in the same way as the player would have them.
They will usually block more and be more aggressive with a melee weapon,if an NPC sees you trying to to hit with a bow or spell and he's also using a bow or spell he will strafe left and right to try and avoid projectiles.
You can try any combat overhaul you like but backup your saves first before trying it.I would say try the pack on expert first then decide if it needs anymore combat mods.
Lively Combat is just a sound replacer fro the combat music that i've made,it can be enabled or disabled whenever you wish.

The default value for the game is 20 so i left it at that.Very low or very high values could interfere with some quests.
You can change it in-game with console

set timescale to xx

I started again to get ctd when saving. This time it doesn't corrupt my save, i can load them without problems and never had ctds when playing.

It happens every 10/ 20 saves, i only do manual saves. What should i do? It's not game breaking but i'm afraid things will get worse :(.

Masters are cleaned already, i could redo the patches but not sure it would help, i already redid them from scratch following your video tutorials and after that i didn't add/remove any mods or changed load order.

I'm afraid i will mess more my savegame by doing that and my savegame already has 10 hours. Do you think i should try cleaning the savegame with the tools or it will mess stuff? I may have quicksaved a couple of times by mistake without loading previous saves.

I also started a new game after doing the patches and followed the mod configuration video tutorial almost completely (i just didn't activate frostfall and realistic needs and diseases and deactivated immersive creatures night spawns).

Oh and i added a couple of armor mods and skyrim amorous adventures (the clean nexus version, not the sexlab one). Could they be the reason of the ctd?
